Introduction
AUTHOR’S FOREWORD
Translation: “We glorify Allah Ta’ala and ask for blessings and salaams on His noble Rasul ﷺ , his Sahaabah رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمْ and those who follow him in upholding the cause of the right Deen.”
The indifference of Muslims towards practising Deen these days is too well known. So much so that even Salaah, which is the most important pillar of Islam (after Imaan) and the first and foremost thing to be questioned for on the Day of Qiyaamah, is being badly neglected. Although every call to Islam, nowadays, seems to be only a cry in the wilderness, yet experience shows that efforts in this direction are not altogether unsuccessful. The Ahaadith of Nabi ﷺ are sure to benefit those with an open and obedient frame of mind. With this idea in mind and to comply with the long-standing request of some of my seniors, I have taken upon myself to write this book, which is the second of the series on ‘Tabligh’, the first one being, ‘Virtues of Tabligh’.
Translation: “And my ability is only from Allah Ta’ala! Only on Him do I rely and only to Him do I turn.” (Surah Hood - Aayah 88)
The present-day Muslims can be divided into three groups, as far as their commitment towards Salaah is concerned.
1. A large number of them are totally unmindful of their Salaah.
2. Then you get quite a few of them who observe their Salaah, but are not particular about Jamaat.
3. Then there are those who are regular with their Salaah (with Jamaat), but take no care as far its quality and demands are concerned. Therefore I have divided this book into three parts to suit the requirements of each group. In each part, the illustrious Ahaadith of the Nabi ﷺ are quoted with their simple translation. It is not a word to word translation but rather the overall meaning is given.
Explanatory notes have been added wherever necessary. The names of the books of Hadith from which the quotations are taken have also been mentioned for reference.
There are two Chapters in this part. The first one is on Importance of Salaah and the second of Warnings for those who neglect or discard Salaah.
